Sustainability
We are committed to minimising our environmental footprint and fostering a culture of mindfulness and responsibility. Our goal is not to claim perfection, but to strive for progress.
This involves making conscious choices to reduce our environmental footprint by reclaiming, reusing, recycling, and conserving resources whenever possible.
While the footwear industry poses unique challenges regarding sustainability, we are committed to transparency and continuous improvement.
1. Sustainable Materials:
We work with premium reclaimed and recycled fabrics in all our apparel collections. These high-quality fabrics are sourced in Italy, from overproduction, and dead-stock, providing a second chance to fabric which would otherwise have been destroyed.
Our circular fabric standard has been drafted in conformity with ISO 14021 and has been subjected to verification and validation from the independent institute Centrocot.
We also work with other sustainable fabrics, one of which is Lyocell. Lyocell is considered sustainable due to its closed-loop production process, which recycles almost all chemicals and solvents used in its creation, thus reducing waste and pollution.
It is typically made from wood pulp, often from fast-growing trees like eucalyptus that can be grown on land not suitable for other crops, and with minimal water and pesticide use. Lyocell is a cellulosic fibre, meaning it breaks down naturally when discarded, returning to the soil and not polluting the environment.
2. Ethical Production:
Our apparel and footwear collections are made in London, United Kingdom and in Tuscany, Italy, in low volume, low waste, family-owned factories that adhere to fair labour practices and standards. We believe in supporting workers and communities, ensuring that everyone involved in our supply chain is treated with respect and dignity.
3. Durability and Lifespan:
We do not support fast fashion. Our products are designed for longevity, crafted to withstand daily wear. We encourage our customers to invest in quality over quantity and to reduce overall consumption.
